About Madeleine

Madeleine's natural flair for designing children's furniture comes from her passion as a painter. She is a master of the lost art of traditional sign writing, a skill which is now put to use in developing pieces of furniture for kids which are real fun to use.

Every original design is created by Madeleine using traditional skills and are all hand painted with immense attention to detail that can only be achieved by years of practice and a deep understanding of what children want.

She works from her studio in South Wales and is amongst the elite few designers in the world who specialise in children's furniture. Her understanding of what fascinates children here in the United Kingdom makes the designs even more attractive.

Manufacture

Once a design is complete then modern technology takes over. Every piece is produced from high grade MDF which is precisely engineered using computer controlled machinery to ensure no sharp edges or corners. All the assembly fittings are carefully chosen so that they cannot be easily taken out by inquisitive little fingers.

A high grade paint finish is applied to all surfaces and then each colour of the design is screen printed onto the surface. Intricate details are completed by hand. Finally, Madeleine's trademark butterfly logo is discreetley applied.

These delightful pieces make ideal gifts and are easily collectable, whilst being durable enough to make great playthings.
